The ski race season will be here before you know it. You are receiving this email because you attended one or more NHARA/U.S. Ski & Snowboard Alpine Officials (AO) Clinics in the past few years. Attached to this email is an spreadsheet listing the NHARA sponsored AO Update Clinic & AO Exam schedule for this current season, 2023-2024. That schedule is also on the NHARA website. Most Clinics are in-person but, for those who can’t make an in-person Update Clinic, there are two scheduled via Zoom. There is a $25 fee for all of our NHARA Update Clinics and/or AO Exams. In order to attend any NHARA sponsored Update Clinics, and/or take a CC, JA, CR & RF Exam, you must register through the NHARA Alpine Education SkiReg webpage, which can be found using this link, NHARA Alpine Education Online Registration (skireg.com).

For NHARA Members, RA, TC and TD Exams can be made available, but only for qualified candidates, and only by special scheduling. If you are interested in moving forward with one of those three AO Certifications you should, first, determine if you have the necessary requisites, by reviewing the Alpine Officials Certification Guidelines (attached to this email). If so, you should, second, speak with your Program Director to see if she or he agrees with your pursuit of that AO Certification. If you have the requisites and your Program Director approves, then, but only then, reach out to me via email at ahuftalen@me.com and we can discuss it.

If it is not convenient for you to attend one of the NHARA sponsored Update Clinics, schedules for U.S. Ski & Snowboard AO Clinics being presented in and by other Divisions within the Eastern Region can be found on the U.S. Ski & Snowboard website at the Eastern Region Calendar page, using this link, Eastern Region Calendar (usskiandsnowboard.org). That link is not yet active, but it should be soon. Once there, you will find registration information.

Please share this email with anyone you know who might be interested in it.

Good luck this season. Thank you for supporting youth ski racing by being an AO. If you have any AO related questions, please email me anytime.
